Over the past few days we have learnt all about light in science. Year Six have conducted many experiments including making silhouettes with torches. For this we had to make the classroom very dark - it took a long time! We were taught that all objects are either opaque, transparent and translucent. Sometimes it was a bit confusing however, we understood it in the end. It was very fascinating to see where and how light travels.

We made periscopes out of cardboard and mirrors, we drew lots of diagrams to represent the light hitting the object and reflecting it into our eyes, so we can see everything around us. We also learned about how light can be refracted. After we had finished all the experiments, we wrote a long explanation on how it worked.
